Hi, my name is Jessalyn McLean, but I go by "Jessa" for short. I graduated from the University of South Florida in 2013 with a degree in Mass Communications. After graduating, I went through the EPI program at a local community college to become a teacher (my true passion), and I have been teaching 2nd grade since 2015. I am married with two little boys, who are my entire world, and motivation in life.

Growing up, I always loved writing poems about life events and/or feelings during certain times of life. In June 2023, I attended CMA Fest in Nashville with my mom, and saw the fire and determination in every single artist who performed. This sparked something in me to finally DO SOMETHING with my love of writing poems. 

I hit the ground running when I got home from Nashville, and I have SO many ideas for books to self-publish, starting with children's picture books. I hope you love my stories as much as I have loved writing them!
